Certified Nurse Aide Instructor (part-time)

Basic Function:  Provide classroom, lab, and clinical education training in conformance with the Department of Inspections and Appeals guidelines, Board policies, and Administrative guidelines.  Position may include day, evening, and weekend hours.

Start Date:  ASAP

Salary and Benefits:  Hourly wage for this position is $33.90 hourly.  Retirement benefits as provided by Social Security and IPERS or TIAA.

Qualifications:  BSN preferred.  Current RN license from Iowa or from a state recognized by Nurse Licensure Compact.  Two years full-time work experience as a registered nurse required.  One of the two years work experience in long-term care and previous teaching experience preferred.  Completion of Train the Trainer instruction of Certified Nurse Aide will be required.  

Possess current knowledge, skills, and certification to insure the safety and security of instructor, students, and residents in the clinical learning environment.
Conduct effective instruction focus on application of learning.
Provide clinical instruction to support and enhance classroom instruction.
Complete course documentation and maintain proper student/course recordkeeping.
Attend program meetings as schedules allow.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
