Head Women's Softball Coach/Academic Advisor, Industrial and Agriculture

Basic Function: This position will direct all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division II softball program. Additionally the successful candidate will facilitate student entrance into an education program and to assist them in their personal and academic pursuits. Work with industrial and agriculture faculty and Division Chair to register, monitor, and retain students in programs through graduation.
Salary and Benefits: Salary based on experience. Fringe benefits of Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance, eye care, dental, life, and disability insurance. Retirement benefits as provided by Social Security and IPERS or TIAA.

Advise and register students in their academic and career programs.
Utilize appropriate standardized assessment instruments in conjunction with guidance activities.
Assist in the advising function and the development of appropriate materials related to that function including online and alternative advising formats.
Keep College apprised of enrollment levels of industrial related programs and maintain transfer updates for each.
Evaluate the success of the individual participants and provide intervention when necessary.
Maintain student records in compliance with federal mandates.
Develop with students under suspension, progress plans for SAP/FA reinstatement.
Facilitates professional growth through participation in appropriate organizations and conferences.
Maintain a high standard of excellence that includes providing success recruiting student athletes and the development of team/players, coaching, and supervision of staff.
Manage the program budget, scheduling contests, and public relations. All duties are to be carried out in compliance with NJCAA conference and college rules and regulations.
Perform fund raising duties as necessary.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree required; minimum of two years' experience working with the academic and developmental needs of college students preferred. Prefer Masters degree. Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations with softball coaching experience. Knowledge and experience in recruitment of student athletes.
