RSVP Volunteer Coordinator

CATEGORY/LEVEL: PSS/4 (9-month contract)

BASIC FUNCTION: Coordinate efforts to recruit, train, and recognize volunteers.  Assist with marketing and public relations efforts.  Serve as point of contact for all volunteers.


Develop and implement volunteer recruitment efforts and materials. Coordinate all recruitment events.
Assist with developing and implementing training sessions and materials for volunteers and volunteer stations.
Assist with planning and implementing volunteer recognition efforts and events.
Maintain frequent contact with volunteers via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Attend appropriate volunteer meetings and trainings.
Attend appropriate meetings with Volunteer Stations.
Develop marketing materials including the RSVP newsletter and coordinate public relations efforts including news releases.
Perform other program-related duties as assigned.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:  An appropriate combination of education and relevant experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to coordinate multiple projects, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to communicate and interact with adults of various backgrounds, flexible.  Preferred:  Bachelor's degree plus 2 years relevant work experience.
